12/25/2024 Snow Report 6:30 AM
The holidays are in full swing and so are our winter operations. Today we’re anticipating partly cloudy skies, temperatures into the mid-twenties, and very little wind, so it is going to be a stellar day out on the slopes.
Our grooming staff went out last night around midnight to resurface our terrain, and the big news is that they pushed out and groomed Why Not? this morning, so now both of our East Peak trails have been groomed and are ready to go. As for the rest of the mountain, that has also been groomed with the exception of Wonderama and The Wall which have been left untouched for your enjoyment.
Since they have been working non-stop over the past couple of weeks, yesterday and today our snowmakers have the holiday off. If you see them, be sure to say thank you because they have truly gone above and beyond this season.
Our lifts for today will be Westside Six (F-lift), Whiteway Express Quad (D-lift), Wonderama Express Quad (C-lift), Wooly Bear Carpet (E-carpet), and East Peak Express Quad (G-lift).
Today's Snow Reporter's choice of trail is Why Not? because the snow that our snowmakers made was in colder temperatures and made it lighter and drier, and because the trail sat ungroomed any excess moisture will have drained out. That coupled with the fresh groom from last night indicates that it should be running like a dream this morning.
Thank for joining us today, we hope you and yours have a happy holiday season and a great day on the mountain with friends and family. We can’t wait to see you out there.
