Just like that another wonderful winter weekend is in the books here on the mountain. Sunshine and snowguns were the big themes today as we have been making snow ‘round the clock on our East Peak. This morning we were able to open Why Not?, and we hope to soon be able to add Wanderer and Wingin’ It as well. We’re looking ahead at a holiday week with lots of anticipation, and we’re excited to get underway.
After expanding our East Peak terrain, we plan on shifting our snowmaking efforts back west on Windfall, Wide Connection, What’s Next, Wonderama, and Wedel in the hopes of opening those trails in the near future.
For tomorrow, our grooming staff has another busy night ahead of them. They will head out around midnight to resurface and leave behind some corduroy as a little holiday gift for all the morning skiers and snowboarders that join us tomorrow. All our available terrain will be groomed and refreshed for tomorrow except for Why Not?, so if you’re looking for ungroomed terrain you’ll find it right there.
The best part of finishing a run is figuring out which one to do next, and for tomorrow we have the following lifts running to help give you even more options: Westside Six (F-lift), Whiteway Express Quad (D-lift), Wonderama Express Quad (C-lift), Wooly Bear Carpet (E-carpet), and East Peak Express Quad (G-lift).
We’ve had fantastic skiing all week, and we’re expecting even more through the holidays. Thank you to everyone who came and skied or snowboarded with us this weekend, we hope to see you again soon. In the meantime, keep your tips up when you offload from the lift and remember to smile because it’s winter. Have an excellent evening.
