1/30/25 Evening Report

Good evening Windham!

A cold, clear, and sunny day made for incredible skiing today—hollers of excitement were heard from the lifts and a few exhausted folks lapped up some sun’s rays on the Terrace at the end of the day. And now, the weekend delivers!

For Friday, January 31, we’ll have 6 lifts spinning with access to 46 trails. Whisper Run (M) Carpet will also be open from 10:00am to 3:00pm. In case you missed it earlier this week, Wilbur is open! The grooming team will be starting at midnight tonight to push out several trails, including Wicked, who should return to the starting lineup tomorrow. They’ll be providing a full slate of freshly groomed terrain across 37 trails tomorrow, so you’ll have your pick of fresh corduroy.

The team has been making snow on the East Peak, and with some warmer temperatures in store for tomorrow and the weekend, they’ll be shutting the system down overnight. Snowguns are expected to turn back on early next week when temps return, for a run on the West Peak.

This weekend we’ve got live music Friday evening with The Wallpapers from 3-6pm, and DJ Marty Play from 12pm-3pm on The Terrace.

Competition Freestyle

Next level park skills.

This program for 7-15 year old skiers and snowboarders will work on developing skills, technique, and tactics in freestyle skiing and riding. Athletes work with their coaches to learn new tricks and maneuvers to take their park skills to the next level. A combination of time on jumps, boxes, rails, switch-skiing, and more will keep kids who love the park motivated all season long. Participants compete in the Catskill Mountain Series. A USASA license is needed to compete in sanctioned events and is strongly recommended to participate in this program.

Must be 7 years old by Jan. 1, 2025 and at least an intermediate skier or rider who is interested in competing throughout the season. Athletes who qualify for and decide to attend USASA Nationals will be charged a separate coaching fee for the Nationals event.
